Tuition Discount Eligibility: The Solutions for Business program offers tuition reimbursement (up to 50%) for approved energy-related training courses. Eligibility must be determined before the course commences and is limited to APS non-residential customers whose job relates to their company's energy use and Solutions for Business Trade Allies.
APS Technical Training Series Solutions for Business offers a technical training series to help business owners, facilities staff and others to make informed decisions about energy efficiency improvements. Specialty & Outdoor Lighting November 17, 2010 Black Canyon Conference Center Lighting beyond fluorescents: this course will bring expers from APS outdoor lighting research to present findings on new technologies, as well as advancements in LED and other outdoor lighting technologies quickly becoming more cost-effective options.

ACCA-AZ Professional Air Conditioning Contractors
Technicians become “PAC” certified after completing the 11 training seminars. Courses include 48 hours of NATE recognized material; NATE CEUs are available. This certification is required for the Solutions for Business Advanced Diagnostic Tune Up incentive.
Sonoran Sustainable Building Advisor Program Sustainable Building Advisor Certification Nine month course which presents principles and best practices upon which the LEED framework is based. Classes begin February 26, 2010.

Facility Maintenance Technician
Certificate in Facility Maintenance Graduates receive the “Master Facility Maintenance Technician” designation and a certificate of completion from the ELA Institute for Facility Management Education. Tuition reimbursement is available from APS for non-residential customers and Trade Allies upon the successful completion of this certificate program.
Building Operator Training Certificate Program
Green Ideas/United States Green Building Council Trainings
Starting Jan 1, 2010 APS will be adjusting the training reimbursement program for LEED accreditation trainings in response to USGBC changes in courses, testing and qualifications. The new LEED course program under USGBC may qualify for 50% tuition reimbursement as follows, but as always each person and class must be individually approved by APS or its designated representative*:
Green Associate Classes – Will not qualify
Specialization Classes:
- LEED AP Operations & Maintenance – May qualify
- LEED AP Building Design + Construction – May qualify
- LEED AP Interior Design + Construction – Will not qualify
- LEED AP Homes - Will not qualify
- LEED AP Neighborhoods - Will not qualify
Continuing Education Credits will be approved on a course by course basis, but must at minimum meet the following:
